Yohei KUBOTA Sales chief

After graduating from Waseda University, he joined Bunkyo Gakki in 2006. He is familiar with playing wind instruments from his childhood years. During college, he started playing cello which eventually led him to join the Waseda Orchestra.

After that, he went deeply into the world of string instruments, aiming to be a professional in the field. Currently he is active in wholesale sales.

“I started cello in my college years, and became a professional dealing with stringed instruments. I feel the history and art behind string instruments is very interesting, and appreciate these aspects in addition to the instruments being musical tools . It is my motto to work diligently so that all customers will be completely satisfied!â€

Yayoi SUZUKI Sales chief

Joined Bunkyo Gakki in 2008. She has been familiar with playing music since her childhood. She majored in Saxophone performance at Shobi Music College. After her experience with instrument sales to schools, she joined Bunkyo Gakki. Utilizing a wide range of personal connections, she is developing marketing activities focusing on outside marketing.

“My motto is to deepen communications. Thanks to the sale of instruments, I would be pleased if I could have a long lasting relationship with our customers. With my experience of playing various Instruments from childhood, I am glad to be able to have enjoyable conversations about music with everyone! I look forward to your visit.â€

Jun ITO Sales

Graduated from Ritsumeikan University and joined Bunkyo Gakki in 2015. He has studied and performed on the violin from a young age. He has a unique experience of having done overseas sales at a automobile manufacturer in his previous role prior to joining Bunkyo Gakki. In order to help Japan gain recognition for the making of musical instruments worldwide, he is engaged not only in domestic retail sales, but also overseas sales.

“I feel that the influence from performing music and appreciating musical instruments is significant. By providing healthy and beautiful instruments, I am engaged in fulfilling my daily tasks with the ultimate goal of enriching everyone's performances.â€

Kana YAMAMOTO Sales and Administration

Joined Bunkyo Gakki in 2010. She has experience in playing both the violin ·and viola from her childhood at the Kyoto Branch of  the Suzuki Method School. She was a member of "Concierutino di Kyoto" for 12 years and served the post of concert mistress for 7 years, while also teaching the juniors. She currently belongs to Itionji Chamber Orchestra. 

“I learned violin from childhood and viola from the age of 15. Even now I belong to the orchestra and enjoy playing. I hope to convey the charm of string instruments and the joy of playing from the perspective of the players. Please do not hesitate to visit us!â€

Yui KOIZUMI Sales and Administration

Graduated Rikkyo University and joined Bunkyo Gakki in 2010. He is familiar with playing music on instruments such as the piano from childhood, and the viola from his junior high school days. He started playing in orchestras and did so throughout his high school and university years. He is currently active in an amateur orchestra. 

“With my experience playing in orchestras for many years, I learned the pleasure of playing stringed instruments. I aim to create an environment where customers can feel comfortable playing with confidence. Those who like viola are also welcome!â€

Tomojiro OKAMOTO Workshop Chief

Graduated from ESP and the internationally acclaimed Chicago Violin Making school. In his studies at the Chicago Violin Making School, he received guidance from Mr. Chu Ho Lee for almost 4 years. In 2003 he joined Bunkyo Gakki and further honed his repair and restoration techniques. He is currently serving as the chief of the workshop and is responsible for restoring fine old instruments and also making sound adjustment for players.

“With my experiences cultivated through the restoration and repair of various instruments, I seek to perform the highest level of maintenance, repair and restoration from a long-term perspective. I believe it is important that through my work, my customers can feel that their instruments are truly one of a kind and unique in the world . Please feel free to contact us!â€

Tsukasa SAITO Workshop

Veteran craftworker having a career with Bunkyo Gakki for over 25 years. He makes our own brand of instuments under the label“Pigmaliusâ€, while restoring antique instruments from old to modern.

“Not only do I make new instruments, I also perform restoration on fine old instruments, taking advantage of the skills I obtained through violin making. I do restorations of any instruments that have been exhausted by years of performance while embracing the trends of technology. Please contact us.â€

Mio YAMASHITA Workshop

Graduated from Daikanyama Music Institute and joined Bunkyo Gakki in 2016. In addition to taking charge of bow rehairing and the maintenance of instruments, she is also studying as a violin maker within the production staff. I also enjoy playing the violin with an amateur orchestra as a hobby.
