with the DNA of an Old fine Instruments

Dorothy Delay

We seek to to deliver the beauty and sound of Fine instruments not only to a limited group of players but to all violin enthusiasts and also children as well. With a great sense of passion, Pygmalius debuted in 1976 after thorough research of Stradivari`s instruments which took several years.

The ability of Pygmalius instruments to faithfully reproduce the essence of Stradivari struck many people, not only in Japan but also in Europe and the United States.

Dorothy Delay, Professor of Juilliard recommended its use to her pupil Midori Goto, who decided to debut with a Pygmalius violin at Carnegie Hall. Pygmalius has continued to evolve steadily over the last 40 years, and has recioeved the support of many excellent players and instrument enthusiasts.  Currently Pygmalius offers instruments under three different concepts: "REBIRTH", "RUBINO" and "DERIUS".
